Into the Radius 2 is coming to PlayStation VR2 on September 24, developer CM Immersive confirmed on the PlayStation Blog. Dystopian survival shooter Into the Radius 2 launches on PlayStation VR2 on September 24, but if you are looking to play with a friend, you have to wait for co-op support to be added later. The single-player campaign arrives first, with two-player co-op following as a free update.
A Brand-New Campaign Built for the Pechorsk Anomaly
CM Immersive framed the PSVR2 edition as a rebuilt take on the series rather than a straight port. On September 24, 2026, CM Immersive is bringing the next evolution of its hardcore VR survival shooter to PlayStation VR2 with Into the Radius 2, with the team taking what the community loved about the original and rebuilding the experience to be deeper, visually striking, and far more tactile. At launch, players get a self-contained single-player run through the Pechorsk Anomaly, the game’s signature irradiated wasteland.
At launch, players will get to immerse themselves in a brand-new single-player campaign, followed by a free post-launch update in Q4 2026 that introduces 2-player co-op. CM Immersive also stressed the granular loadout work behind the sequel. A key focus for the game was giving players total control over their gear, because in a place where a delayed reload can mean starting over, a setup needs to feel like second nature.
Native 90fps, Foveated Rendering and Sense Controller Haptics
The PSVR2 build is built to lean on Sony’s headset hardware rather than just replicate the PC VR release. Into the Radius 2 will run at a native 90fps with eye-tracked dynamic foveated rendering to boost performance, and it also has headset haptics and utilizes the Sense controllers’ adaptive triggers. Those are the same headline features Sony’s headset offered for the original Into the Radius when it landed on the platform two years earlier, and CM Immersive is applying the same toolkit to the sequel.
Two-Player Co-op Waits for a Free Q4 2026 Update
Players hoping to bring a friend into the Anomaly on day one will have to wait. The game will not support co-op gameplay at launch, with that feature planned for a free update in Q4 2026. CM Immersive described the eventual multiplayer layer as a way to share the survival load rather than remove the tension: in Q4 2026 the studio will release a free update introducing 2-player co-op, letting a partner join the Anomaly to share resources, cover sightlines, and plan tactical approaches together.
That staggered rollout mirrors how co-op has already played out on PC. The Early Access version of the sequel already includes two-player support, and CM Immersive has previously said it is still working toward four-player parties on other platforms. Wishlisting on the PlayStation Store was not yet live at the time of the PlayStation Blog post.
Third Platform in Five Months for the Sequel
The PSVR2 date caps a rapid rollout for Into the Radius 2 across headsets. This news comes on the heels of last week’s confirmation that the Quest 3 version of the game will leave Early Access later this week on August 27. Following the 1.0 update on the original SteamVR edition in April, CM Immersive is moving quickly to expand the full experience to other platforms.

The PC VR release hit its 1.0 milestone on April 23, closing out an Early Access period that had run since July 2024. That version already carries a full story campaign, new weapons and night-vision gear alongside its existing two-player co-op, features CM Immersive is now folding into the PSVR2 launch in staged form starting September 24.
