Into the Radius 2 PSVR2 Launch Slips Two Weeks to October 8 Over Certification
CM Immersive delays the PlayStation VR2 version of its survival shooter from September 24 to October 8 after hitting snags in Sony's certification process.

- Developer CM Immersive cites unresolved issues found during final certification
- Launch version ships with full single-player campaign; co-op comes free in Q4 2026
- Game already exited Early Access on Steam (April) and Quest (August)

Into the Radius 2 will not hit PlayStation VR2 on its announced date after all. Developer CM Immersive has pushed the port back two weeks, from September 24 to October 8, after flagging problems during Sony’s certification review.
Survival shooter Into the Radius 2’s PlayStation VR2 release has been pushed back from September 24 to October 8, citing an issue with certification for Sony’s platform, UploadVR reported. The studio explained the setback in an email to press and players.
CM Immersive’s Certification Snag
During the final certification stage, we identified a few things that still need attention. We want to use this time to make sure the PS VR2 version is in the best possible shape before players enter the Radius, the developer wrote, according to UploadVR’s copy of the email.
The studio did not detail what specifically failed review. UploadVR noted that from speaking to developers, Sony’s certification and approval process has been said to be considerably more rigorous than that of Meta or Steam, a dynamic that has tripped up other VR ports chasing a PlayStation Store listing.
What Ships October 8
When it does land, the PSVR2 edition arrives with everything CM Immersive promised at announcement. At launch, players will get to immerse themselves in a brand-new single-player campaign, followed by a free post-launch update in Q4 2026 that introduces 2-player co-op, the studio said in its original PlayStation Blog post.
Road to VR detailed the scope of that campaign ahead of the original date: a fully voiced story campaign with 10 main quests, 178 side missions, and five Security Levels. Set across three main locations and two sub-locations, the latter of which become available as players progress, users take on the game’s most frightening (and deadly) anomalies with over 50 firearms across 25 weapon types.
Sony’s headset hardware gets specific treatment too. Bringing Into the Radius 2 to PS VR2 allowed us to ground you even further inside this unsettling world by connecting our physics directly to the hardware: Tactile Weapon Handling: Sense controller adaptive triggers provide unique resistance depending on the action of your firearm, allowing you to feel the distinct weight of different trigger pulls, CM Immersive wrote.

A Staggered Rollout Across Platforms
The PSVR2 slip is the latest step in a platform-by-platform rollout that has run for most of 2026. Into the Radius 2 left Early Access on Steam and Quest earlier this year, paving the way for a PS VR2 version to come to market, as Sony’s platform has traditionally not favored the Early Access process.
Steam’s own listing confirms the PC version’s full release came on April 23, with the standalone Quest edition following that August. PlayStation owners were meant to be the last to get the finished game, and now they will wait a little longer still.
October 8 Is the New Line in the Sand
CM Immersive has not signaled any further slippage beyond the new date. Players who wishlisted the PSVR2 edition ahead of the original September 24 target will see the storefront listing update automatically once the build clears Sony’s review a second time.
Co-op remains the outstanding piece of the puzzle, still slated for a free update sometime in the fourth quarter. For now, the fix is smaller and more immediate: two extra weeks, one more certification pass, and an October 8 launch date CM Immersive is treating as final.
