WoW: Emrrrgl Murloc Funko Pop Unlocks Exclusive In-Game Pet for $20

Blizzard has put a new murloc up for sale that comes with more than a shelf spot. The Emrrrgl Murloc Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure, priced at $20 on the Blizzard Gear Store, ships with a digital code redeemable for the Emrrrgl in-game pet in World of Warcraft, according to Wowhead and the store’s own product listing.

The figure is part of a broader BlizzCon 2026 merchandise wave that Blizzard opened to the public ahead of the convention itself. Receive an Emrrrgl Murloc pet with a purchase of the World of Warcraft Emrrrgl Funko Pop figure. The store markets the collectible as “Emerging from the darkest depths of the ocean, this collectible features a uniquely designed murloc with bioluminescent details, rugged armor, and glowing eyes that hint at untold underwater secrets.”

Collectors online are already comparing it with past Funko-to-pet promotions and debating whether the code will show up promptly by email:

MMO-Champion reports that purchasing the Emrrrgl Murloc Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure for $20 through the Blizzard Gear Store rewards a digital code for an Emrrrgl murloc pet in World of Warcraft. The outlet noted that, at the time of writing, the promotion is available only on the US Gear Store, mirroring the geographic restriction Blizzard has applied to similar promos in the past.

Icy Veins confirmed the same mechanic in its own rundown of the BlizzCon storefront, noting simply that the Emrrrgl Murloc Funko Pop, purchasing it unlocks the Emrrrgl Battle Pet in-game. Blizzard has run this exact playbook before: an Ice Murloc Funko Pop released in October 2024 came bundled with an in-game pet named Brrrgl, distributed the same way, through an emailed redemption code tied to the buyer’s Battle.net account.

That earlier Ice Murloc promotion drew complaints on the official forums from players who never received their codes, and from European fans locked out of a US-only storefront. Whether Blizzard has tightened fulfilment for Emrrrgl remains unconfirmed, but the region restriction looks set to repeat.

Part of a Wider BlizzCon 2026 Gear Wave

The Emrrrgl pet is one item in a much larger merchandise drop. Wowhead described the release as covering a Funko Pop that awards an in-game pet, new statues, dice sets, apparel, and more. Icy Veins catalogued several other headline pieces, including a World of Warcraft x RockLove collaboration featuring Xal’atath Orb Earrings, a Dark Heart Necklace, and a Helm of Domination Ring, alongside a Murloc Plush Backpack.

Diablo and Overwatch fans get their own slice of the drop too. The same rundown lists a Diablo x RockLove collaboration featuring Lilith’s Blood Pearl earrings and the Lilith Sigil Necklace, and a Dice Set and Lidded Mug themed after the Horadric Cube, plus the Pachimari Bento Box and the Rikimaru Ramen Cup for Overwatch and a Pizza Stone Card Back Collector’s Pin for Hearthstone.

No Ticket Required

Crucially, none of this merchandise requires a BlizzCon badge. Icy Veins pointed out that you don’t need a BlizzCon ticket to get this merch; the 2026 gear store is open now to the general public. That mirrors how Blizzard has run its show-floor storefront in recent years, letting fans outside Anaheim order the same physical goods sold to attendees.

BlizzCon 2026 itself takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center on September 12 and 13. For players who skip the trip but still want Emrrrgl swimming around their bank alt, the Funko Pop and its bundled code stay a $20 order away on the Blizzard Gear Store, stock and regional restrictions permitting.
